• Release of Chaos desktop 8.3.1

    A new version of Chaos desktop is available

    The new version of Chaos desktop is now available for download from our homepage. The new version includes several new functions and enhancements.

    In this version you are be able to turn off data consuming settings in Chaos desktop. The name of the new setting is “Execute with maximum performance” and you can find it in the system settings dialogue box. The following settings are affected when this setting is activated:

    • Sorting documents in the document windows becomes alphabetical by default.
    • Information will not be updated automatically. Click F5 (Refresh) to update.
    • The system setting ”Save previous column sorting” will be deactivated.
    • The system setting ”Update folders every time they open.” will be deactivated.
    • Meta data and system properties will not be visible in columns, only standard columns are visible in the document window.
    • User defined settings for columns in the document window will be ignored.
    • Viewer window for documents will be hidden.

    • Improved performance for file management on network drives.
    • New setting to set document size when converting files: ”Use document image size”.
    • New setting to show or hide Windows properties for documents in columns in the document window.
    • Correction: When duplicating many documents, the newly created documents will be selected.
    • Correction: All meta data was not visible in columns in the document window, this is now corrected.
    • Updated script files: meta_layout_read.scr and meta_layout_write.scr.
    • New version of ChaosFunc 6.2
